Commercial Manager (m/f/d) ... Global Leader in a specific and high-growth segment in the area of beverage packaging!
As Commercial Manager in Slovakia you will play a key role in the organization influencing the efficiency and performance of the company. You will oversee the day-to-day operations while seeing it in the context of the long-term interests of the business. You are pursuing new business opportunities and managing functions such as clients service, employee activities and evaluations, contract negotiation, project planning, marketing and other matters that relate to a company's operations.
Your key responsibilities will be to build the commercial organization as well as strong relationships with all the major retailers to ensure the best possible positioning of your company. You will further develop relationships with clients, establishing new contracts whilst strengthening existing ones. You will negotiate commercial contracts related to trade activities, partnerships, lease agreements and all other related commercial activities.
- develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue and business growth
- manage and oversee the finances involved in commercial activities and work on risk assessment and pricing structures for products to work toward overall targets
- analyze sales and other reports that give insight into how your company can make the adjustments to improve performance
- support the Managing Director in developing new and managing with meaningful KPI’s
- follow, monitor and understand the market trends, competition activities and applying the changes if necessary
- look for opportunities to grow the business
- be responsible for overseeing staff, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that deadlines and targets are met
- coach the commercial organization on best practices for managing contract issues and handling daily issues and tasks
You will report to the Managing Director Slovakia and will be based near Bratislava. From time to time you will be part of special, also international, projects.
The starting date is expected to be by latest end of Q3 2020.
The ideal candidate is someone with a high commercial awareness, a good understanding of the current market in the area of his company’s business and pronounced interpersonal skills. He is able to develop strong relationships with clients and external points of contact as well as with stakeholders inside and outside his company and has excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
He is able to develop an ambitious but realistic commercial strategy and to translate it into an actionable plan. He meets deadlines for projects and tasks, is organized and manages time effectively. He quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems and comes up with sound and rational judgements. He acts on own initiative, makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results.
He is cooperating well with others, shares knowledge, experience and information and supports others in the pursuit of team goals.
If you are this candidate ..
You have at least 5 years of experience from the FMCG or other similar industries, in a senior commercial role with well-founded sales and service experience. You gained your skills working in an international or larger regional company, preferably from a comparable market to Slovakia.
Furthermore you have extensive experience in working through complex analysis, communication, documentation and financial operations. You are used to develop business plans & -models as well as having P&L accountability for your area of responsibility.
You have successfully completed your education on MSc-level in a business, technical or financial field and you are fluent in Slovak and English.
