DIE POSITION

In that position you will head up the company‘s efforts to shape and drive profitable growth in the following markets: Bosnia/Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Turkey.

You will develop the front and back end of the Business Unit, establish the core business frameworks and simultaneously build the businesses profile.


As Head of the Business Unit, the responsibilities will reach from early stakeholder consultancy, building the foundations of the Business Unit, to full-scale operations.

Your key objective is to shape and anchor a winning go-to-market strategy matching local needs and opportunities, actively influencing early on. You are coming with a P&L responsibility and will, with time, govern a portfolio of entities reaching from emerging markets to running operations. You will successfully drive the company‘s growth ambitions, valuing dynamic work environments, and you are motivated by a broad portfolio of opportunities.

The organization will leverage synergies where possible, scaling as opportunities materialize.

The role reports to the SVP Europe Asia Pacific and will be one out of five Business Units within the company. The job holder is being part of the company‘s European Asia Pacific leadership team.

Your key responsibilities

  • Position the company for profitable growth in assigned markets
  • Build relevant relations with stakeholders, business partners and authorities
  • Analyze business fundamentals, stakeholders and decision-making processes to shape a winning strategy per jurisdiction
  • Influence schemes to secure a sustainable outcome -for society and the company
  • Develop and anchor business plans as opportunities emerge
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are followed and endorsed
  • Build the organization and operational capacities as opportunities materialize
  • Build and grow the company culture


The company‘s office in Vienna being the proposed geographical location, the work locations may be adjusted to match needs and opportunities. You will be travelling a large part of your time.

IHR PROFIL

The ideal candidate will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long-term goals.

You are a relationship builder who develops strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders outside and inside your company as well as an ambitious but realistic business vision and translates it into a workable strategy. You are a culture builder by living the values of your company.


As the right candidate you will need a mix of operational and strategic experiences and you are motivated by a diverse portfolio of opportunities, reaching from entrepreneurial and start-ups to the management of running operations. Insight to the FMCG-, packaging-, and/or environmental business and related policy frameworks is required and you will need to be capable of balancing short-and long-term objectives.

You quickly understand and analyze complex issues and problems and you are coming up with sound and rational judgements. You are self-paced, you make things happen and accept responsibility for the results.

You are communicating in a clear, precise and structured way, speaking with authority and conviction, you present effectively. You are cooperating well with others, you share knowledge, experience and information and you support others in the pursuit of team goals.

You have at least 10 years of experience in the business areas mentioned above. You worked in an international company, the last few years in a leadership role at top level, at least MT. You have obtained your skills through many years in sales or service roles, preferably from SEE-countries.

Furthermore you have extensive experience in working through complex analysis, communication, documentation and financial operations. You are used to develop business plans & -models as well as having full P&L responsibility for your market.

You have successfully completed your education on MSc-level in a business, technical or financial field. You are fluent in English, other SEE language skills being an absolute advantage.
